About hitting Briere - I've watched it several times and its NOT ON PURPOSE!You can download it from here - www.ovechkinfans.com
After the game Ovie says in an interview that it was unintentional and he supposed to hit him on the shoulder-not in the back as it happened...but in the last second Briere just turned his back to him and Ovie just couldnt escape from that hit...You can see the video here:

I believe in Alex' words , it was an accident,nothing more.Alex is not a lier and he's not a coward-if he says that it was unintentional-then that's how it was!I put all my trust in Alex and dont question his words even for a split of a second.He's an honest man and not a durty player.As for Briere-I'm not sure if he's playing the victim or he really was unprepared for that hit...But in hockey if you're not prepared to take hits like that any time- you probably must do stng else for living...It wasnt such a strong hit...I'm surprised that Briere even fell...may be he must practice more in the fitnes gym...
All is well when ends well...Nobody's seriously hurt.And I'm not some crazy fanatic who will support his idol even if he'd commited a murder...By the way I'm a Sabres fan as well, so I'm not jumping to conclusions just because I like Caps and Ovie...I just think that in this situation Ovie is not THAT bad as they try to make him look like...
As for the game-I havent watched it yet/hope someone will upload it in the net.../ but from the statistics I saw that after the hit Briere was back in the game and he was even in the penalty list for hooking ...I was very surprised to find out that my beloved Max Afinogenov got in a fight 20 seconds till the end of the game...What a game- both Alex and Max made such a mess out of it! But I love them unconditionally!!! I just hope they wont fight against each other - it will be a pity, and this will really break my poor heart...I also hope that Max isnt injured after all that cause he already missed 5 games this season for an injury...If someone out here watched the game-please tell me what happend at the end of it- at least did Max won the fight?I really hope so!

I dont understand what to hell is Biron doing there...But after all-thats hockey!And hits and fights are a part of it.Nobody really expects that the 2 teams will hug each other and act friendly during the game...If you dont like agression-watch chess...Thats why I love and respect hockey players- for me they are like contemporain gladiators or knights!!!They are strong,brave and devoted to the team!!!
And if it looks like I dont really like Biron from what I've said earlier- dont fool yourself-I love this guy!He is gorgeous!And I dont care that he fights with Ovie.Thats their problem.As for me-I find him very attractive...Well,not as much as Ovie and Max...but judge for yourself...

Well, I am fan of Anaheim and Carolina as well,and the boards for the NHL and even on the Anaheim boards are arguing over if the punishment to Alexander were stiff enough.It seems not only was poor Alexander fined and kicked out of the game that night but many are screaming for him to be suspended from at least two future gAMES!!!!How stupid. Briere was not hit hard and he returned to the game to get penalties like usual. Buffalo hit Zednik and he left the game in pain and didn't return that night. So Briere should just shut his mouth,,,,I watch the NHL all the time and am sick of how guys like Briere are such whiny crybabies who are dirty players and then dive or send up an injury. This is the NHL, if you can't deal get out and play hockey at the local Y.....geez,honestly, Ovie can layon a hit if he wants and the Briere hit was the softest hit I have ever seen Alexander deliever!!!!

I understand if Briere couldn't see the hit,but he saw it coming and turned to avoid it,but they were too close to avoid each other. And as far as how much Briere weighs,that is a joke because Briere doesn' t think he is too small to deliever hits so guess he should be able to take them as well as give them.

Still, when you get a hit from a guy like Ovechkin (tough), without anticipation, there's a surprise effect that makes you collapse. Atleast that's what I think!
Anyways  besides that, I'm happy Ovechkin only gets a 100 dollars fine and that Briere is doing well! Both good players that the Nhl needs. |

Ovechkin: My contact was not accident. I wanted to hit him. But if you see replay, I don't hit him, you know, hard. I just saw his back and I just hit him. I don't want give him injury or do some injury to him. I'm not the player that -- we're both are players, and I know we both want to play hockey. I don't want to do some injury to him. Doesn't matter Briere or some different player. ... I know it was not a good hit, but I tell you I don't want to do that.
NO COMMENT!
Caps won against Senators and Sabres won against Lightning- even Briere made his first hat trick in that game!He's a brave warrior!!!And Ovie wasnt suspended from Caps game!!!So lets forget about that stupid accident and think for the up-coming games and victories as our boys do!!! |

Friday night's game will be a tough call for me.I adore Alexander,of course, but my number one team and my fave player on the team play the Caps that night. Oh well, I have looked forward to this game because of the talent that will be on ice that night.The Caps have "the Alexes" they call them--Ovie and Semin,and Zubrus while Anaheim has Teemu Selanne leading the scoring on a very talented team.Should be a great game and can't wait to see it.

I was very frightened before the Caps-Sabres game on 26 ..all those angry fans and players wanted revenge from our poor Alex...but he's my hero!He made it clear before the game:
"If it will be rough,I love play rough.I'm redy to fight if somebody want to fight me.Im not afraid.I love make hits if somebody hit me.Its hockey.Its my game"
How I respect him for this behaviour!Yes-he plays tough but thats the game!If he goes around apologising to everyone he hits in the games...well,that may take a lot of time... He's an amazing player and I'm proud of him!
I just didnt get it-why he wanted to fight with Briere during the game?He just followed him and said something to him but they separated them very quickly...And from what I've seen it didn look like an appology to me... This poor Dany boy was very lucky that they pulled Ovie away from him ...
Caps lost the game... ...but didnt loose their pride!After all Ovie scored a goal and that was great!!!
I felt sorry for Johnson though...poor Brent looked so miserable when they changed him in 1 period with Olie...he even broke his stick -he was so mad after the 4 goal... |

Buffalo fans are jerks anyhow. Everytime Ovie was on ice or got the puck they booed him and chanted cuss words at him....real classy , there guys! And people don't understand why Briere gets on my nerves like he does!!!!! The Caps aren't playing the best right now, but they are trying hard and Ovie looks sooooo gorgeous with scruff. Who knew he was so hot trying to grow a beard?Have a great weekend,everyone.Happy New's Years and sorry I missed saying Merry Christmas, things got crazy here for awhile. Cheers!

What do you think about Ovie's new haircut? He looks cute !
I like him anyway...but I liked him better with the longest hair,as he was at the All stars...he was so cute when he was singing "Happy birhtday" in the dressing room  ...and so sexy...
I wish he was my Valentine...HE IS MY SWEET ANGEL WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BLUE EYES IN THE WORLD...
